Goal clarity allows you to turn your business aspirations into a reality.  Why is it important? It is important because clarity gives your business purpose on exactly what results you want to achieve and when you want to achieve them. It provides you with the power to know what to say “no to” and “yes to”! Clarity starts with goal setting. Goal setting should be the very foundation you build your company on because it effects all areas of your business.

The process of setting goals should be a collaborative effort, because there is an important relationship between goal clarity, and team effectiveness. One of the fastest way to propel success is to have a team that has clarity on the action plan.  It is very important to remember that how you define your goals also sets up your organizational culture.  Those companies who have clear goals remove chaos from their structure and as a result they improve productivity.

It is not an easy process getting goal clarity, many business owners struggle with this task. The good news is that it is not a complicated process but with clear steps you can do it.

To get goal clarity follow this process:

1. Change your mindset to only strive for positive goals because negative goals are weak
2. Write down your goals on paper
3. Define your goals
4. Make your goals measurable
5. Make a list of all the activities, decisions and milestones you need to achieve
6. Develop a plan of action
7. Make your goals time driven
8. Present your goals to your team with a lot of energy and passion because how you put your message out there, will affect how well they get on board with your goals
